I have been broken down

to bits and bytes.

A virtual Girl,

condensed

to pictures

glowing on a lighted screen, streams of numbers

swirling beneath my skin.

I have been broken down

to data.

Skin and bones

evaporating

into puffs of algorithms,

equations,

that shiver through the atmosphere.

I have been broken down

to complex numbers,

that I no longer understand.

What does it mean

to be?

More than bit and bytes

streaming across a lighted screen.
