Seeing the moon set

in the darkness,

fingers tracing constellations

in the freckles on my skin.

There is a wisdom in recklessness.

Leaping into open space

without thought of landing.

Clinging to you

as time rushes in my ears.

There is a wisdom in piercing starlight.

Short summer nights

and fleeting kisses,
