Waterlogged ink blotting the page.
I sought your smile
with my finger on the shutter
before each image I captured,
your fingertips capturing my fluttering pulse.
I found you in the dark room,
the gentleness of your touch
raising hairs on my skin
as I lifted photos from film.
You added color to my canvases,
misplaced brush strokes
trailing over clean lines,
your kiss straying from my lips.
My love for you bled into all of my dreams,
Waterlogged ink running across fresh pages.
