Definitely not my best work but Maya Angelou once said that you have to sit down and write every day even if all you write is "the cat sat on the mat."
The Carpet
Wall to wall deception;
plush,
soft.
looped and stitched fabric,
twisted together and dyed,
spread out to cover
the flaws
in a cold surface.
