Poetry Challenge Week 42

Margins,

the edge of the page,

an impossible cliff

with words balanced

right on the edge.

"Don't write in the margins,"

The teacher scrawls

across the top of my page,

where I've dangled periods and ends of words

over the edge.

Stick to the trail.

Wide and broad.

At the center of the page.
