Every Day

Project 52 Week 9

Every day I...

Hit snooze on my alarm clock, as many times as I can. It is something like 10 because it will only let me snooze for about 50 minutes.

Get up and trudge through my shower and the rest of my morning routine. I am not a morning person.

Finally reach the point where I get a cup (or two or three) of coffee.

That's where everything starts to get confusing.

There's almost nothing else I do every day.

And almost everything I do... every day.

Routine is funny that way, we get into one and don't even realize that we have. We do things every day without realizing that we're doing them, every day.

Then our routines change.

I just started a new job that is very different than the kinds of jobs I have had in the past. Normally I go to an office and do, whatever they are paying me to do and then sit around and wait for my hours to be up. In an office job they pay you for your time and expect you to be there when they want your time. My new job is a little different, it requires flexibility and requires that I get everything that needs to be done but not in a normal office job capacity. I have not gotten used to it yet and I have not figured out what my routine should and will be.

Odds are, I will not adjust the settings on my alarm clock, which means it will still go off at 6:30 and I will still hit snooze as many times as it will let me.
